A new booking that overlaps an existing one is refused, with a clear order of precedence so the right flight wins.

Booking rules you choose
Turn on the restrictions your club wants and ClubHangar checks them on every booking, including walk-up check-outs.
- Block pilots who owe more than an amount you set
- Block pilots with an expired medical certificate
- Block pilots whose flight review (BFR) is due
- Require an instructor checkout before a member can book a specific aircraft
Dispatch at the airplane
Check a flight out and back in with Hobbs and tach readings. Hours flown update the aircraft's times, and, if you bill through ClubHangar, post the flight to the pilot's account.
- Out readings are pre-filled from the aircraft and can be corrected

- No booking? A pilot can check out a free aircraft on the spot, under the same rules
Common questions
- Can members book instructors as well as aircraft?
- Yes. A reservation can include an instructor, and admins and instructors can book on behalf of other pilots.
- Can I stop members from booking an aircraft they haven't been checked out in?
- Yes. Mark the aircraft as requiring a checkout, and only pilots an instructor or admin has signed off in that aircraft can book it.
- Does ClubHangar track Hobbs or tach time?
- Either or both, per aircraft. You choose which meters each aircraft tracks and which one flight time is billed from.
